Notice of Application Period for Preapproved Advanced Cleanup (PAC) Program

We wanted to let our clients and contacts know about a limited opportunity for funding by the State of Florida for cleanup to be conducted in advance of your site's priority ranking. Any site that is eligible for state cleanup funding may voluntarily participate in the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Preapproved Advanced Cleanup (PAC) program. The intent of the PAC program is to facilitate property transactions or public works projects.

The FDEP has announced, in accordance with Section 376.30713, F.S., that it will only accept PAC applications submitted between November 1st, 2012, and December 31st, 2012. Applications are required to include:

• Completed PAC application,
• A $250 non-refundable application fee,
• A Limited Contamination Assessment Report (LCAR), and
• A proposed course of action.

This is an opportunity for site and business owners to clean up their property with funding from the State of Florida. It has the potential to significantly increase the property's value or prepare the property for sale.
